Academic Representatives, Librarians, and Collection Policies

Information regarding collection development at the University Library. This includes information about subject librarians, department contacts and our policy on each subject we collect.

Collection Policy for ENVIRONMENT

General Purpose

This policy’s primary purpose is to acquire environment and sustainability materials that are not purchased by other collection development policies. The topics covered by this policy are highly multidisciplinary, dynamic, and overlap with many other subject areas–from religion to business to geoscience to engineering. This policy’s aim is to fill in collection and coverage gaps by ordering important materials that may be considered “too general”, “too interdisciplinary”, or “too specialized” to be covered by other policies.
