Collection Policy for PSYCHOLOGY

General Purpose

Materials in the field of psychology are intended to cover a range of curricular and research needs for undergraduates, graduatestudents, and faculty. Defined as one of the social sciences, psychology has interdisciplinary ties to sociology, social work, education, anthropology, medicine, political science, and business. In addition, psychology has relationships natural sciencessuch as biology, zoology, mathematics, and physiology. The collection supportsthe research needs offaculty and graduate students,while at the same time keeping abreast of changing developments within the field. It also supports the curriculum, including materials that reflect the needs of students.
