ISU Library Book Lists for Green Dot Programs
- Collaboration of Green Dot, Student Wellness & ISU Library
Welcome to GreenDotReads! This guide is a collaboration between Iowa State University Parks Library and Green Dot at Iowa State. Green Dot is a violence prevention strategy aimed to decrease power-based personal violence on campus by utilizing education, outreach, and development as mechanisms for increasing awareness and competency around bystander intervention skills. The GreenDotReads Guide is comprised of books and reading guides designed to create awareness around various topics impacted by power-based violence. This Guide hopes to connect readers to new ideas and spark action to make our community safer.
Green Dot at Iowa State: Green Dot launched September 2017. The program provides trainings for students, faculty and staff; hosts programming and initiatives, and facilitates outreach. Over 2,000 campus and community members have received Green Dot training, volunteered for programs, and continue to find ways to integrate Green Dot into our campus culture.
