Library Communications

This guide is an overview of communications tools, resources and policies for the University Library. News. Events. Social Media. Publications. Press Releases.

Co-sponsorships

Library resources are requested many times during the year. Examples include sponsorship requests for University Lectures, Ames Public Library events, and conferences like RDAP, ISCORE, USETDA, and RBMS, to name only a few.

Sponsorships need prior approval from the dean. In the case where event sponsorship (temporary use) is approved, the communication team will supply University Library marks directly to the planning organization/entity.

*Use of Iowa State University wordmarks cannot be approved for situations where endorsement is implied and where indefinite use is requested.*

To initiate library logo use or communications support for an approved co-sponsorship, complete the Marketing Request Form.

Ames Public Library

The Ames Public Library mission is to connect you to the world of ideas through diverse and inclusive resources and programs focusing on key areas of growth and development as outlined in APL’s  2021 strategic plan.  We are excited to work together to continue to respond to our community’s needs and interests in impactful and meaningful ways.

The suggested timeline for partnering with APL on events can be found in the program proposal.  Please talk to Susan as you do NOT need to fill this form out for UL partnered events.
