National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
Provides the full text of safety recommendations, press releases and bibliographic citations for Aviation, Highway, Marine, Pipeline/Hazardous Materials, and Railroad accident reports released through National Technical Information Service (NTIS). Recent reports are available online.

Technical Reports from DTIC
Provides access to technical reports from all three branches of the military. Particularly strong in regards to aerospace technical reports issued by the United States Air Force. Provides citation and some PDF full-image access to unclassified reports only. Full image access is scattered prior to the rise of the Internet in the mid 1990's. Some reports which are unavailable for download but may be available via the Contrails website.

Contrails - Aerospace History from the Wright Air Development Center and other agencies
The Contrails website formerly known as the Wright Air Development Center Digital Collection is a result of the efforts of the Illinois institute of Technology Galvin Library's Government Documents Depository staff. Over 1,000 technical reports issued by the United States Air Force, published by the Wright Air Development Center, it's successors, and other agencies have been digitized and indexed in this online database.

Contrails provides the only online access available for many of these reports, which are scanned at archival quality. Also, requests may be placed for scanning reports held by Contrails that have yet to be digitized. Coverage is the second half of the 20th century, with most reports dating from the 1950's through the 1970's. Full-text.

TRAIL - the Technical Reports Archive and Image Library
An initiative led by the University of Arizona in collaboration with CRL and other interested agencies to identify, digitize, archive, and provide access to federal technical reports issued prior to 1975.

Non US Technical Report Services

AERADE Reports Archive
Incorporates more than ten thousand, historically significant, digitized reports from: The Aeronautical Research Council (ARC) - the principal agency in Great Britain with a major output of reports on matters aeronautical, which existed from 1909-1979. The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) - chartered in 1915 and operational from 1917-1958 are also included.
