The American Ceramic Society began holding meetings in 1899.
Ceramic Engineering and Science Proceedings is a series of book volumes published by ACerS since 1980. These contain the full text of proceedings from three major conferences:
Ceramic Transactions is a book series started in the late 1980s, which publishes conference presentations from a variety of ceramics-related conferences – not just ACerS sponsored conferences.
ACerS has partnered with Wiley to make their proceedings available online. The ISU Library does not provide access to these volumes electronically, but the tables of contents are viewable.
The ISU Library has copies of many of the proceedings in the Ceramic Engineering & Science Proceedings and Ceramic Transactions series. Use the Wiley links above to identify papers of interest, then check to see if we have what you're looking for.
Finding specific volumes of Ceramic Transactions is a bit more difficult, as the different volumes have unique titles and were cataloged separately. Searching for "Ceramic Transactions" (with the quotes) in Quick Search will get you started.
If the ISU Library doesn't have the volume you're looking for, you can request the entire volume or the specific paper of interest using Interlibrary Loan.
