In the section of the Importance of Students Work, it is intended for the viewer to gain an understanding of the importance of digital curation, accessibility with technology and archiving and how these three concepts add to the student experience. Students have an abundance of knowledge that they use to create projects, tools, presentations, etc. during their college journey. Because of this, they deserve to have stewardship over their creation. Furthermore, they should have access to information that allows them to own their creations after graduation. In regards to accessibility with technology, it can be seen through social media with tools such as captioning or subtitles, that it is of upmost importance to make digital content that is accessible to all populations. Lastly, it is imperative that the curations made by students' are archived.
Students' are vital to Iowa State, their work shows the campus climate and character of ISU. With the combination of digital curation, accessibility with technology and archiving, the student experience will become more inclusive at Iowa State University.
The library's collections and services are available to all ISU students, faculty, and staff and Parks Library is open to the public.
