If you are using a citation manager or would want to learn how to use one, ISU libraries support some of the most commonly used tools including Endnote, Mendeley and Zotero. Use the links below to find out more about each tool. The librarian whose contact information appears on the guide is the expert on the tool covered. Robust bibliographic management software tools designed to help you collect, organize, and use necessary citations for your writing and research projects.

Mendeley is another robust bibliographic management tool. This guide is intended for those new to Mendeley.

Zotero is an open source citation manager that is useful for collecting, organizing, citing and sharing different citations. It has been optimized for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and integrates with Word and LibreOffice. It supports thousands of citation styles.
