This session of Metadata Matters will highlight select tasks routine for the cataloging unit of Metadata Services and explain how they benefit library users. The presentation discusses the relationship between Alma and Primo, authority control and its role in promoting user discovery, special descriptive metadata created for rare books and other materials of historical value, and the increasingly important role of batch editing in the unit’s workflows.
