Metadata Matters

Online training and workshops from Iowa State University Library Metadata Services department

Metadata Matters is a series of orientation sessions hosted by Metadata Services staff. The series was launched in 2022 and continues into 2024.

Metadata Services activities encompass various projects, platforms, and workflows, and not all staff are familiar with each other's work. These are an opportunity to become familiar with other staff work or to learn about new tools. These sessions are developed for Metadata Services staff; however, other library staff are welcome to attend or make use of these resources based on interest.

  • These sessions are expected to be introductory with no prior knowledge required.
  • The presentation portions of these sessions will be recorded and made available in this LibGuide along with slides or handouts.
  • The Q&A portions will not be recorded or shared. Based on interest, Q&A may be compiled into a shared handout.
