Slytherin House 2019

A Python learning community for University Library faculty and staff.

About

Are you an employee of the Iowa State University Library? Do you solemnly swear you are up to no good?  If so, come take the Hogwarts Express to Python learning. We'll be teaching you a language, but it's not parseltongue - it's Python.

Slytherin House is excited to announce we’re bringing Software Carpentry to Parks Library on March 18th and 19th, 2019 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm in room 198. Boxed lunches will be provided.

Software Carpentry is a hands-on, two-day workshop that will introduce you to the life-altering magic of Python. So grab your wand and say avada kedavra to coding ignorance and learn the basic coding skills you need to be more productive in your daily life and improve your research. (Wizarding robes are optional.)

All levels of experience welcome!

Please ask your supervisor first before embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.

Email any member of the Slug Club to get the link to register. Hope to see you this spring break!
