Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Makey Makey kits

Resources for getting started with electronics hardware kits.

Makey Makey

Makey Makey kits turn everyday objects into computer input touchpads, so a banana becomes the space bar.  It's a simple invention kit for beginners and experts doing art, engineering, and everything in between.

The kits come with a board that looks like a classic Nintendo controller and a collection of clips and wires to connect it to anything conductive.

Materials that work great: plants, coins, your grandma, silverware, anything that is wet, most foods, cats and dogs, aluminum foil, pencil lead, fruit, and hundreds more.

Play the piano on your friends' hands.  Make a drum set out of coins.  Control Mario by stepping on foil squares.
