Religious Studies Research Guide

The best online resources for research in the area of religious studies.

Use Quick Search for Books

ISU Library Quick Search - Books Only

On the results screen you can use Filters (on the right) to further refine your search. Look for the Format Type filter category and select Books to limit the results to books only. This search box automatically applies a "books and more" filter to your results, so you will need to use the Books filter to limit your results.

Borrowing Books from Other Libraries

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service you can use to borrow items from other libraries and have them sent to you for free. This is especially helpful when you need a book that the ISU Library doesn’t own or is checked out to another patron.

How to place a request

There are three ways to place interlibrary loan requests:

  1. Log in to your interlibrary loan account and fill out a request form.
  2. Search for an item in Quick Search then select Request from Interlibrary Loan. Use this option when an item we own is checked out, unavailable, or you only need a specific article or chapter.
  3. Use the GetIt@ISU link or button in library databases then select Request from Interlibrary Loan.
