If you are a distance student, we can send physical copies of books to you. See the Distance Learning Library Support guide for more information.
You've decided that you want to make a difference in the world. You're creative, innovative, driven, and have a sense of purpose. But you have some questions...how can I be innovative? What do entrepreneurs do? Do I have to start a business? The answer is NO.
We've got books - over 2,500 of them - that can answer those questions. The tabs on the left give you an idea of the topics. It's not exhaustive, but it's a good start.
The books in our collection are a combination of print and ebooks. The QuickSearch records will identify items by their type. In searches, you can tweak the results of a search to show only print or only ebook depending on your preference. You can also sort by date and limit by author or publisher.
Ebooks in the ISU Library collections come from a number of different vendors. Access to ebooks may require an account (e.g. with Safari) in addition to being affiliated with Iowa State.
In addition to books, there are links to podcasts. Read and listen and learn.
I'm always suggestions for new content to add to this guide. Send your book and podcast suggestions to Jeff Kushkowski.
When you do searches in QuickSearch, there is a "virtual browse" feature that will show the books immediately surrounding the one you've searched. This is a great way for you to get an idea of how many books are available on your topic.
Sign in with your Net ID and password when using Quick Search to use the Request option. You can request that items be pulled and held for you at the Main Desk, so you don't have to find them in the library.
