Impactstory is a tool that you can use to better understand who's using your research and what people are saying about it. It also provides insights such as how much of your research is open access, how it's being shared, and more.

Register for an Impactstory account (it's free)Impactstory provides valuable insights into how your work is being shared and accessed online. It does this by tracking works that have been linked to your ORCID iD and published online with a DOI. If your work doesn't have a DOI Impactstory won't be able to track it - this is why sharing your work on Figshare, which assigns DOIs, is so important.
Impactstory can be used in a variety of ways depending on your goals. You can set goals to earn achievements or use your profile as a supplement to your CV/resumes. On a more personal note, if you're trying to engage others in your research ImpactStory is a great way of tracking how much, and how far, your research has been shared by pulling data from Twitter and other social networks.
