To view your materials in SCUA's holdings, we welcome you to our Reading Room on the 4th floor of Parks Library. In order to protect and preserve the original and unique materials in our collections for future generations, all of the materials housed in SCUA are non-circulating, meaning they can't be checked out. But in the Reading Room, you are welcome to view any non-restricted materials in our holdings for any reason, even if it's just for fun!
Before You Visit
Don't worry if you're still unsure what you're looking for or what to do when you get here! An archivist will always be at the reference desk, ready to help you and answer your questions. And always feel free to email archives@iastate.edu before, during, or after your visit with comments, questions, or concerns.
Do you have a milestone coming up that you'd like to celebrate? An accomplishment that you'd like to showcase? Or an issue that you'd like to bring attention to? We'd like to help! SCUA wants to collaborate with you to curate future exhibitions using SCUA collection materials or materials you plan to donate to SCUA. This could be a great opportunity to highlight your unique experience at Iowa State or the impact of your student organization by telling your story in your own voice.
Just reach out to us with an idea, and we'll guide you through the process. Keep in mind that we may not always be able to accommodate all requests for a variety of reasons. So, let's talk!
