These digital exhibits represent past physical exhibits that were curated by SCUA faculty, staff, and student workers. There are also some representations of collaboration with ISU faculty and students. The exhibits show various aspects of ISU history.
- Iowa State Sesquicentennial: History of Iowa State - This exbibit was created to celebrate Iowa State University's Sesquicentennial (150 year) and includes a number of resources that cover the history of ISU.
- Homecoming at Iowa State - In honor of the 100th year of ISU hosting a Homecoming event, this exhibit was created to look back at its history.
- For Married Students: Building Building a Community in Pammel Court, 1946-1978 - This exhibit was created in conjunction with Public History course HIST 481X students, the professor Mark Barron, and SCUA staff and looked at the history of Pammel Court.
- VEISHEA: Iowa State's Right of Spring - This exhibit explores the origins of VEISHEA, the largest student ran event in the United States. The weeklong celebration highlights all of the colleges at ISU when it was founded in 1922. The event was ended in 2014 after a riot had broken out, something that had also happened in during previous VEISHEA celebrations.
- We Are ISU: Snapshots of Student Life - This exhibit celebrates the history of student life on this campus and takes a closer look at brief moments of time, “snapshots” if you will, spotlighting only a handful of the many students who have called Ames and Iowa State University home.
- LGBT+ Student Life at Iowa State University: 1970-1999 - This exhibit speaks to the LGBTQIA+ presence and experience on the Iowa State University campus. It was curated by Undergraduate Research Assistant Luis Gonzalez-Diaz over the course of the 2018-2019 school year. While the LGBTQIA+ community is, and historically has been, under-documented in the University Archives, we hope that Luis’s scholarship will serve both as a jumping-off point for interested researchers and as encouragement for individuals to donate records that can help us preserve a fuller version of these stories.
- Women's Experience at Iowa State from 1960-1979 - This exhibit speaks to women’s experiences and activism on the Iowa State University campus in the 1960s and 1970s. It was curated by Undergraduate Research Assistant Amanda Larsen over the course of the 2018-2019 school year. While women-centric narratives are and historically have been under-documented in the University Archives, we hope that Amanda’s scholarship will serve both as a jumping-off point for interested researchers and as encouragement for individuals to donate records that can help us preserve a fuller version of these stories.
- Diamond Reflections: The Iowa State Baseball Tradition, 1892-2001 - This exhibit looks at baseball at Iowa State University from its inception as a varsity sport in 1892 until the program was ended following the 2001 season.
- Fifty Years of Cy: Our Mascot, 1954-2004 - This exhibit covers the origins of the "Cyclone" nickname and the creation of "Cy", the Iowa State University mascot.
