Celebrate International Love Data Week, February 10-14
International Love Data Week is an annual celebration led by Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan that brings people from all over the world to learn, appreciate, and have fun with data. This year’s theme is "Whose Data is it, Anyway?"

Data Visualization Workshops 📈
- Data Viz 101: Effective Design
- When: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
- Where: The Catalyst, Parks Library, room 199
- Details: Learn how to apply design principles to improve your data visualizations in this short seminar. Preregistration required.
- Data Viz Glow Up: Pick a Chart Type
- When: Thursday, Feb. 13, 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- Where: The Catalyst, Parks Library, room 199
- Details: Pie, doughnut, lollipop, waffle, and bee swarms? Oh my! These are just some of the charts you can make, but should you? Preregistration required.
- When: Friday, Feb 14, Noon - 2 p.m.
- Where: The Catalyst, Parks Library, room 199
- Details: Warm up with hot chocolate and treats and learn how to transform a dataset into a wearable bracelet. It’s a fun way to see data in a new light and to learn about the data support services available in The Catalyst.
- Who: Open to all undergraduate and graduate students
- When: Opens Feb 14. Submissions due by midnight on March 14.
