Arab American Heritage Month 2020

Virtual book exhibit for Arab American Heritage Month

Arab American Heritage Month, April 1 - April 30

Every April, many institutions of higher education and cultural centers in different US states mark the Arab American Heritage Month. Unlike previous years when Parks library has had physical book exhibits showcasing Arab American Heritage and their contribution to the country, this year there will be no such exhibit due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But to ensure that we remain attuned to the occasion, members of the library's DEI Committee have created this LibGuide as a substitute for the foregone physical exhibit. Select titles available at Parks Libary highlighting Arab Americans' contribution to the knowledge economy of the US and the wider world are the key ingredients of the LibGuide. Even though the library is currently not open to the public due to the ongoing scourge, users can request displayed titles using the "Library Material Delivery" service currently in operation. Few of the titles and much of the other resources such as journals and videos are electronic and can be accessed remotely.
