Films Released in 1925
While literature in 1925 was a booming business, the film industry was just getting started. Silent films were still the norm at this time, and a wider breadth of genre films was beginning to develop.
Actors like Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin set the tone for comedy for the decade, and Wolf Blood, often credited as the "first" werewolf film, was released in 1925 as well.
As for cartoons, many cartoons in media were still relegated to newspapers, though animated cartoons were beginning to garner interest as well. Over the next decade, classic characters like Betty Boop and Mickey Mouse would arise, but for now, Walt Disney was working on a small series of shorts, "The Alice Comedies."
