How to use our collections

This page provides an introduction to understanding and using the Special Collections & University Archives at Iowa State University.

About Aeon

Aeon is a special collections and archives materials request system. You can use Aeon to request to see materials in the reading room or place a request to have materials copied and sent electronically.  Please note that you will first need to create an account (ISU users can create an account using Okta).

There are three ways to request materials:

1) You can fill out the form on the Aeon site.

2) Through the library quick search function (click on Special Collections Request in the item record)

3) By selecting materials in the CARDinal database (click on Submit Request to View)

Please watch the tutorials below for more information or email us at archives@iastate.edu.
