Biomedical Sciences Research Guide

Introduction to library resources and other information sources for biomedical science students and faculty.

Biomedical Resources

There are so many biomedical resources and tools available to researchers that it would be impossible to list them all. The following are just some that the University Library provides to the ISU community.

NCBI

The National Center for Biotechnology Information is a division of the National Library of Medicine at the National Institute of Health and provides free access to molecular biology information and tools.

Visit the NCBI Library Guide for more information or go directly to the NCBI website.

Laboratory Protocols & Methods

Protocols are publications outlining the methods, tools, and materials needed to complete a procedure in a laboratory. The library provides access to several protocol journals and databases. The Laboratory Protocols and Methods Library Guide provides additional information to help you find appropriate protocols or you can explore some the journals and databases below.
