ISU Veterinary Medicine Student Pioneers

This guide will highlight some of the early students of color who graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and provide resources for further research into these individuals.

Chao Chi Wang (DVM 1922)

Chao Chi Wang was born in Shanghai, China, on November 7, 1895. In the Iowa State College Yearbook, his hometown is listed as Peking, China.

He graduated with his DVM from Iowa State in 1922. Information published in a 1925 Iowa State Alumni directory states he was then at Southeast University, Nanking, China.
