Iowa State University Library Guide for Prospective Students

Welcome Prospective Students! Check out the technology, spaces, services and resources YOU can access as an ISU Student!

Would you like to participate in fun events?

Your traditions. Your initiative. Your memories.

Start your ISU adventure with new traditions! Stop at the library's booth during WelcomeFest, held the first week of classes, and pose for a digital postcard to send home.

What can you do during a study break?

Come up for air. Dive in deeper. Find your balance.

College is more than studying. It takes balance. Take a break with friends, play a game of giant chess, watch a DVD, distract yourself with a puzzle, and then hit the books again.

Do you want to keep an eye on campus entertainment culture?

Change your world, one performance at a time.

Grab a sandwich or coffee and celebrate the richness of the arts. Monday Monologues feature creativity and hard work during lunchtime performances in the library. Which is your favorite? Music, theatre, poetry, dance? Or are you the one up on stage?

Would you welcome a chance to play with dogs during a study break?

Tail wags. Ear scratches. Belly rubs. Tons of smiles.

Stressed before final exams? Lower your stress levels by giving out some belly rubs. Comfort dogs are brought in during Barks@Parks every semester. Pet, play and, of course, snap a selfie with these loving pups. You'll walk away with a smile on your face feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the next exam review session.
