Welcome to our LGBTQ+ Pride Month book exhibit! This exhibit was originally created for June 2020 when the ISU Library was closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the exhibit the focus was on presenting ebooks and streaming videos you can enjoy from home. We also include a tribute to AIDS activist and LGBT rights advocate, Larry Kramer.
Pride Month is celebrated nationwide during the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall uprising that launched the national Gay Rights movement. Because of Iowa State University's academic calendar, the Ames community and ISU also celebrate Pride Month in early Fall.
