The ability to download e-books and access e-books via mobile devices varies greatly. Here is some additional information for some of the e-book publishers/packages:
--Entire books cannot be downloaded.
--You must create an AccessEngineering personal account to print a section of a book.
--Device compatibility: AccessEngineering is optimized to work on any mobile device with a browser.
--Entire books cannot be downloaded, but can be read online.
--One chapter at a time can be downloaded or printed.
--Content can be accessed with screen readers and on mobile devices.
--Most books can be read online in either PDF or EPUB (Adobe Digital Editions) formats.
--Books have different levels of access; some can be downloaded and printed in full, others have a maximum number of pages that can be downloaded or printed.
--You will need to register an individual account with EBSCOhost to download books; click the Full Download link (if available) for the eBook you want.
--Most screen readers are supported.
--Books cannot be downloaded in full, only to 20% of the book's content.
--Individual book chapters can be downloaded as PDF files.
--Knovel has an app called Knovel ToGo that allows for viewing complete books offline with a smartphone or tablet.
Please note that for members of the public visiting Parks Library, this resource is only available from a Parks Library workstation, and not from a mobile device connected to the campus wireless network:
--Single chapters can be printed or downloaded.
--O'Reilly can be used on iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices with an O'Reilly app. It is not compatible with e-readers such as Kindles that do not allow third-party apps to be installed.
--Offline access is available on iOS and Android devices with the O'Reilly app.
Please note that this resource is not available to members of the public visiting Parks Library.

--Each chapter is a PDF document which may be printed or saved. There are restrictions to the amount of content that can be downloaded or printed. You can print or download a single chapter or from each book, or up to up to 5% of the pages, whichever is greater.
--The Oxford Scholarship Online website is “fully mobile optimized.”
--Books can be downloaded in full for access with Adobe Digital Editions, but are accessible only for 21 days before expiring.
--Short chapters and sets of pages (up to a limit) can be printed or downloaded as a non-expiring PDF.
--Compatible with most mobile devices. For Android devices, use with Chrome or Firefox browsers.
--An accessibility mode is available for use with screen readers.
--Full books and individual book chapters can be downloaded and printed as PDF files.
--Most eBooks larger than 200 MB cannot be read online and must be downloaded.
--Most current browsers are supported.
--Mobile devices are supported.
Science Direct (Elsevier)
Individual book chapters can be downloaded as PDF.
All chapters in a book can be downloaded by clicking “Download PDFs” without selecting any chapter checkboxes - will give directions for downloading a .zip file with the PDFs for each chapter.
