General Information about the Ames Public Library
Update History
Welcome
This guide designed to acquaint you with financial literacy resources to prepare you for the APL Smart Investing @ Your Library seminars. This is designed as an overview of the materials available for investors is the three target demographics: Generation X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation.
The focus of these pages is on resources avaialble for the three demographic groups, and there will be some overlap. If you're buying stocks, the same resources apply regardless of your age.
Similarly, when you're looking for stock quotes there's only one source for the information (the stock exchange) but there are many providers. In this case, the goal is to show a few different ways of finding and displaying stock quotes and then letting individuals decide which service works best for them.
