Searching for Books

  1. Use Quick Search.
  2. Change the search type to "Books & More" in the first drop-down menu (or use the search box on this page)
  3. You can "refine" search results using the option on the left-hand sidebar.
    • Choose "Books" as the "Resource Type" to only see books
    • For electronic books, click the "Full Text Online" at the top of the results list.

Print books for the life sciences are located throughout the Parks Library.You will need the book's call number in order to find the book in the Library. Depending on what you are studying you may need to visit several floors. Call Numbers in Parks Library

Online books are hosted by a variety of services and can be located with Quick Search.

The University Library subscribes to many eBook services. The best way to locate ebooks is through Quick Search but you can also browse individual collections. Below are the collections most likely to be of use to Food Science students, faculty and staff.

Print reference books for the life sciences are located in Tier 2 at Parks Library. You'll find a large collection of encyclopedias and handbooks related to all areas of the life sciences. These books can be checked out for 1 week. Online reference books are hosted by a variety of services and the best way to find them is through Quick Search.
