American Ceramic Society

The American Ceramic Society began holding meetings in 1899. 


Ceramic Engineering and Science Proceedings – is a series of book volumes which contain the full text of proceedings from three major conferences – Conference on Glass Problems, International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites, and the Porcelain Enamel Institute Technical Forum.


Ceramic Transactions – is a book series which publishes conference presentations from a variety of ceramics-related conferences – not just ACerS sponsored conferences.


ACS has a partnership with John Wiley publishers to provide both of these book series.  Ceramic Transactions are listed on the Wiley website for 1998-present.  Ceramic Engineering & Science Proceedings are listed on the Wiley website for 2004-present.
