M E 466: Multidisciplinary Engineering Design

Learn about tools for finding articles, books, standards, and prior art for the multidisciplinary capstone design class. This guide also includes tips and techniques engineering students need to know for conducting successful library research.

Alumni access

For students, graduation doesn't mark the end of your access to ISU Library resources.

The ISU Library is open to the public, and that includes the vast majority of our computer workstations. Anyone, alumni or the general public, is welcome to come to the library and make use of our computers and many (but not all) of our online resources. This includes access from inside our building, but not from off campus. Our librarians also answer inquiries from the public, so feel free to send a message to our Ask Us service or the librarian for the subject area of interest if you need research help.

Anything on this guide that is marked with an orange lock, or "open access", icon is fully free to use regardless of your affiliation with ISU.

Open access resources for engineers

The resources listed below are free to access and use, and may be useful to engineers. This is not a comprehensive list, but may help you get started.
