Are you working on a digital project and need supporting content? CC licenses allow others to freely use and reuse images, music, and video. Provided on this page are locations to find CC licensed work.

Reminder: Since there is no registration to use a CC license, CC has no way to determine what has and hasn't been placed under the terms of a CC license. Various. Connection to a variety of search engines with CC search ability. CC has no control over the results that are returned. Do not assume that the results displayed in this search portal are under a CC license. You should always verify that the work is actually under a CC license by following the link.
Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons is an online repository of free-use images, sounds, and other media files. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Google Image
Images. Using the Advanced Image Search function from Google, Click the Tools button, and then select a variety of Usage Rights from the drop down menu provided.
Bandcamp
Music. BandCamp enables artists to build simple and straightforward profiles to sell and distribute music in a range of formats. Artists are able to indicate CC licenses on these releases and, as a result, easily sell CC-licensed material.
SoundCloud
Music. After uploading a sound or set, you can select under which license you would like to release your piece of audio on SoundCloud. You can change the license via the sound settings (hover over your sound and click the pen icon below the waveform) at any time.
Videvo
Videvo provides access to free stock footage that you can repurpose in videos and presentations for your class. Check their licensing information before use.
Vimeo
Videos. Browse the Creative Commons licensed videos on Vimeo. Learn about what you can and can't do with other people’s videos on Vimeo to help you share, rework and reuse legally.
YouTube
Videos. You can mark your videos with a Creative Commons license when uploading them to YouTube. You can also incorporate the millions of Creative Commons-licensed videos on YouTube when creating your own videos using the YouTube Video Editor.
