Use Quick Search to find ISU Library books, ebooks, and many other types of materials (videos, print journals and ejournals, multimedia, articles, and much more) the ISU Library owns. Because Quick Search is so huge, here are a few tips for focusing your searches.
To find books: Do a search in Quick Search. Next, use Tweak my results on the right of your search results page and choose Books, under Format Type. Alternatively, use Quick Search's Advanced Search and choose Books & more with the Material Type drop-down menu.
To find ebooks: Follow the tip above for finding books, and then use Tweak my results to select Full Text Online, under Availability. Use your ebook's Online access link to open and read the book!
* Check the E-books at ISU Guide for helpful information about our many ebook collections!
You can also use Advanced Search's other drop-down menus for more control. For example, you can specify that your words appear in the title or author or subject areas, if that is helpful. You can also narrow or redirect your search results using the Tweak my results links that appear on the right of your search results page.
If the ISU Library does not have a particular book or article you need, you can use our Interlibrary Loan service. We will borrow the book you need from another library--which could take up to a week. We can also get articles, which will be scanned and sent to you via your e-mail. There is a form you need to complete to get the process started.
