Streaming Videos: Collections and Guidelines

Great information on the Library's many streaming video packages & Course Reserve options!

Rent It too!

Instructors: Read me!

Instructors: You may wish to review video and DVD titles you typically show in your classes and consider new streaming titles we already own (or already available online) that cover the same curricular content, when available. Review links on this page for ideas!

Note: Many titles in the Library's large streaming video collections have closed captions and/or transcripts! YouTube and similar services often have caption functionality as well.

Did you know...

You can find streaming video owned by the Library by searching Quick Search. Here's how:

1. Choose a very simple search on your broad topic (e.g., science; literature, etc)

2. Using Advanced Search in Quick Search, choose Audio Visual with the Material Type drop-down menu

3. In your Search Results, use Tweak my results on the right side of your screen, and choose Full Text Online, under Availability. (If you don't find a Full Text Online link, then there are no materials that meet your search request that are "Audio Visual" and "Full Text Online.")

4. You should now have a list of "Audio Visual" materials that are "Full Text Online" - review them to see if there are streaming videos included on your topic. (Note that your list may include websites, papers, and other materials that include links to streaming files, etc.)

Free & Legal Online!
