Art Index Retrospective is a bibliographic database that cumulates citations to Art Index volumes 1-32 of the printed index published between 1929-1984.Subject coverage is the same as that for Art Full Text above.

Provides access to more than 150,000 citations and abstracts from the worldwide literature on architectural design, the history and practice of architecture, historic preservation, interior design, and city planning. Avery indexes journal articles, interviews, obituaries, book reviews, and exhibition reviews dated 1977 to the present. Retrospective indexing of six magazines is also included, some dating back to 1860.
