Special Collections and the University Archives welcome visitors!

Special Collections houses many manuscript collections and materials related to the history of Iowa, especially Story County. The University Archives contains information related to the history of the university. Both collections often contain resources valuable to genealogists - e.g., information on famous Iowans or ISU alumni, ISU faculty (both current and former), Iowa plat maps (showing land owners back to the 1890's) as well as the ISU cemetery.

Genealogists are encouraged to contact the Special Collections & University Archives staff directly to inquire about resources in this area.
