This guide provides information and links to online resources and print resources in the library collection including compilations of laws, regulations, and court decisions.

Using This Guide

Below is a brief description ofthe resources found on each tab on this Guide.

  • Basic Resources - a good overall starting point for general background information
  • Government Laws - access to information regarding federal, state, & municipal rules, regulations and laws
  • Case Law - information about specific court cases and rulings
  • Digests - report on the rulings of various Appellate and District Courts
  • Citators - these services can be used to validate your research and monitor cases over time

Off-Campus Access

Most of our online indexes, ejournals, and full-text articles can be accessed off-campus using your ISU Borrower ID and password. See Set your Library password for more information.

Distance Learning students: Can't find your ISUCard number? Login to AccessPlus. Choose ISU IDs in the left sidebar to find your ISUCard number. Your Borrower ID is the last 11 digits of your ISU ID number. (Problems? Contact distance@iastate.edu). See also our DL Guide.
