JAND/ADA citation style (for Dietetics)

NOTE: The American Dietetic Association (ADA) changed its name to the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and JAND is the style used for the Journal of the Academic of Nutrition & Dietetics.

AMA Style

AMA is the American Medical Association. The AMA Manual of Style is available in electronic and print formats. You can get the book by asking at the Parks Library Main Desk.

Journal of Food Science style

Many class assignments at ISU require students to use the Journal of Food Science citation style. This style is available to use within EndNote Web as well as the EndNote desktop version. If you want to correctly cite publications using this style without using EndNote - here are some links that may help:

Note that the Journal of Food Science style is based on the name-year reference format from: Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers. 2014, 8th ed. (Chicago, IL: University of Chicago Press). When in doubt about how to format a publication, consult the original CSE Manual - - available to ISU researchers online here:
