Obtaining a Library Card
Retired faculty and staff, are eligible to receive the standard ISUCard at no cost. For additional information, contact the ISUCard Office at (515) 294-2727. ISU alumni and individual researchers who have no formal affiliation with ISU, can apply for an ISU Library Visitor Card. To apply for a Visitor Card, you must bring a valid form of photo identification (e.g., driver's license, Non-driver ID card, etc.) to the Circulation Desk, 102 Parks Library, in person. This cannot be done from off-campus.
NOTE: This is not an instantaneous process. Applicants must wait to receive their visitor cards in the mail before they can check out materials.
Also note: Visitor cards do not provide non-ISU researchers with database access from off-campus.
